Hotel Villa Etrusca

The owners are lovely and make this quiet place feel like home. They’re ready to help whenever you need it. When we asked where we could rent bikes, they offered us one of their own, though it could use some updates to make it easier to use. Breakfast was superb, with a juicer and all sorts of jams. Our room had a small fridge and a safe. Highly recommend it.

The family made us feel welcome, and dogs are allowed even in the dining room. There’s a good breakfast, and dinner is available too. The hotel is a little dated, but the location is great, about a five-minute walk from both the beach and town center.

The beach location is excellent, and we ate reasonably well, nothing especially good or bad. But my husband and I had to cut our holiday short because of a serious family problem, and the managers showed little empathy and seemed very focused on the money. That was upsetting. I hope they use the extra money to deal with the property’s shortcomings. The hotel needs updating in the shared spaces and the rooms. Our bathroom radiator was very small, and the shower was black with mold. Take care.

The owners were lovely, welcoming, and always available, which made our four days there especially nice. The rooms were comfortable and well kept, with a relaxed atmosphere. It’s in a great spot for exploring the island or spending time at the nearby beach. If you want somewhere that feels like home, I’d recommend it.
