The meal was generous, and the coffee was a good choice too, which made the prices feel reasonable despite not being cheap. Everyone was friendly, from maître d’ Livia to the very young waitress who looked after us. A little more finesse or balance might have helped a couple of dishes, but I enjoyed the lunch a lot. The menu sounded so appealing we wanted to try everything. The flavours were bold and clear, from bollito misto with three excellent sauces and garnishes to fried courgettes stuffed with monkfish, wasabi mayo, hazelnuts and salad leaves. My favourite was the rich carbonara with crunchy "guanciale" and Sicilian prawn tartare. The plate of duck, goose (foie gras), deer and quail was deeply satisfying, and the saffron "crema cotta" with Gorgonzola ice-cream, Morello cherries and a puffed-rice chocolate crunch was a generous, rich finish. A very nice lunch in an unassuming fine-dining restaurant, and a must-stop for food lovers in the wider area.

Dessert was the highlight, beautifully presented and delicious, and a lovely end to the evening. We also enjoyed a bottle from the thoughtfully chosen wine list that paired perfectly with our meal. From the moment we arrived, the place felt refined yet welcoming. A memorable fine-dining experience, with top-tier service. I’d recommend it to anyone after elegance and flavour. 🤍

The owners were lovely, and we had the best espresso we’ve tasted so far in Italy. Both dinner and breakfast were better than any we’d had before, with lots of fresh fruit.

The food was delicious and carefully prepared, with real attention to detail. The staff were great too.
