Apartment Cesa Veja Canazei

A supermarket is nearby, as are cycle routes and paths along the river. The cable car is very close and has lovely views, and the location works well for visiting the Dolomites, with Canazei also nearby. The only awkward part for getting around by bike is the steep hill, especially for children. Once you get past the roughly 300-meter ramp up to the house, the rest is fairly flat. Inside, the apartment was comfortable and warm, with two bathrooms. The smaller one is cramped for showering. Most of the place looked clean, though the headboard and wardrobe were quite dusty. Getting the keys from the agency stuck to the door felt a bit odd. The TV is old, with HDMI and limited compatibility; its USB port plays photos and music but not video. I'd stay at Cesa Veja again, since the good points outweigh the drawbacks.

There was mold on the bedroom walls, and damp had made the paint peel. I don't consider an apartment in that condition safe to rent from a sanitary point of view. Even the employee at the Canazei agency suggested sending a cleaning crew, as if wiping the mold with a cloth would solve it. A terrible experience.
