Aparthotel Princess

The place was clean but very basic, and really cramped for a family of four. Reception hours are limited, though the staff were friendly when they were there. The view could be tremendous, but the overhang blocked most of it, at least from the ground floor. The ski storage room was nice, but friends had their sneakers stolen from the boot room. The pool was OK, but had limited hours and required a bathing cap. It’s fine if your expectations are modest, but for the very expensive rate we paid, we expected a lot more.

The room was cold, and the hotel seemed poorly insulated. There was mould on the windows, which I found unacceptable for a place presenting itself as quality accommodation. The heating was constantly switched off, so we couldn’t stay comfortably in the room. We were also shocked by the lack of customer focus after my wife fell ill unexpectedly and we couldn’t check in on the first day. The hotel still insisted we pay for the entire booking, including nights we couldn’t physically be there, and wouldn’t offer a compromise, rescheduling or a voucher for a future stay. I had to come alone with no family so we wouldn’t cancel and lose the money. This felt completely unacceptable and showed indifference to customers, as well as a short sighted approach to building long term relationships. If you want a human approach and quality accommodation, this hotel isn’t for you.

For a skier, this hotel has what you need: it’s close to the gondola up to the ski paradise, the staff are polite, and it’s clean. The pool and three types of sauna are good for recovering after skiing. The price is more than fair, with all amenities included and even a ski pass voucher. Well done, Princess. You’ve got another happy, loyal customer. I’ll be back!

I had to cancel my trip for an unforeseen reason, but the hotel wouldn’t offer a free or partial refund. I ended up losing €500, half the booking, without receiving any service. Very disappointing customer service. I’ll never recommend this hotel.
