Such a nice hotel, really good!

Pretty good hotel!

Despite the excellent location and a very helpful cleaning lady, our family felt unwelcome and won't return. The owner treated us as if we were intruding in her home, and her manner was exceptionally unfriendly. I wondered if I was being too sensitive, but reading other Google reviews afterward made clear that other guests had felt differently from us too. Small incidents added to that feeling. When my wife moved an armchair closer to the lobby window for better reading light, the owner insisted immediately that the furniture be put back, even after my wife said she would restore it herself. And while I was in the jacuzzi, the owner rushed in and made my 17-year-old son leave, saying her rules allowed only people over 18 in the spa. I understand keeping children under 5 or 10 out of a wellness area, but barring someone almost an adult from the jacuzzi really outraged me. She doesn't speak English, although we'd arranged the stay by email in English. As the manager, she made no effort to communicate and acted as though it was our problem for not speaking Italian or German.

The calm, relaxing atmosphere, lovely spa, and excellent meals are why I feel at home here. Breakfast was wonderful, and dinner was truly exceptional. I don't usually go back to the same hotel, but I've stayed here three years running and will gladly keep breaking that rule. There's nothing I'd change. The rooms, shared spaces, dining room, and spa are all beautiful and meticulously looked after. Cristina, the owner, is special: professional, helpful, and willing to accommodate any request.
