The location was enchanting, and being close to Crotone, Capocolonna Archaeological Park, and the medieval village of Santa Severina gave us some memorable excursions to places full of history and charm. We stayed from September 12th to 19th, and the week was a pleasant surprise, especially for the value. The food was abundant and very good, with plenty of tasty, well-prepared choices at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Parking was convenient despite the strong sun, and the sea was just a few steps away. The entertainment team was especially good, friendly and enthusiastic without being pushy. There were real problems with the room, though. Mosquitoes made sleeping difficult, there was no hairdryer, and the sheets and towels were changed only once during the whole week, which didn’t feel adequate for hygiene. Cigarette butts were scattered around the resort and on the beach. There were hardly any ashtrays, so many guests left their butts on the ground. Putting ashtrays in shared areas and on the beach would be a simple, considerate way to help keep things clean. I’d recommend the resort to anyone after a relaxing holiday in a beautiful place with excellent food, but I hope management takes the room service and shared-area issues seriously.

The place has a lot of potential and the setting is appealing, with the pool, beach, sports fields, and amphitheater all close at hand. But there’s plenty that needs work. When our group of friends arrived on Sunday, reception left us unsure where to go because staff didn’t know how to direct us to our rooms. They said arrivals were normally welcomed on Saturdays, not Sundays. After taking our documents, they showed us to our booked “bicamera family” rooms, which were far from the main building and up a steep flight of stairs. That wasn’t mentioned when we booked, and by the end of the holiday our calves felt like a cyclist’s. The rooms were new and very clean, but had no drying rack, chairs, or bathrobe hooks. Getting two tables near the restaurant, one for six adults and another for the children, was also difficult. Despite repeated requests to the dining staff and reassurances from reception, the six children had to squeeze around a table meant for four. There are no shops on site, so even finding a pool cap or sunscreen is a problem. The sports courts are available from 10 to 18, but you have to ask and wait for the entertainment staff to open them. After that, use costs extra, which the website doesn’t mention. The daytime entertainment could be better, although the evening shows were nice.

There wasn’t a dull day or evening, thanks to Totò’s excellent music, Ivana’s beautiful singing, and the kind entertainment team who kept us company. There were activities at the amphitheater each evening, from themed nights to dancing and shows. In the daytime there were games, aperitifs, water aerobics, and activities for children, teenagers, and adults. It’s a well-organized place, with reception, a bar, and an air-conditioned waiting room. The dining room is arranged for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with breakfast and appetizer buffets, vending machines, and friendly staff serving the first and second courses. The food is plentiful, excellent, cooked on site, and changes daily, with fish and meat available every day. The waiters are friendly and professional. The beach area has two pools, one for adults and one for children, a bar, an amphitheater for evening shows, and a beach with umbrellas and loungers. The spacious rooms have sea views, TVs, air conditioning, showers, and small balconies. They’re cleaned daily, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely village in Crotone, with golden beaches and clear water. A great experience for all ages. I’ll definitely return, highly recommended.

Breakfast had loads to choose from, including croissants, cakes, eggs, and toast, and lunch and dinner were just as good. There were plenty of appetizers, from veal carpaccio and octopus to fried fish and cold cuts, plus three first courses, two second courses, sides, and dessert. We ate really well, so five stars to the chef. The hotel is right by the sea, with the soccer field, pool, and lido just a short walk away. The main building is beautiful, luxurious, and tastefully furnished, from the sofas and armchairs to the bar and reception, including the piano with a sailing ship on top. The rooms are in a separate outer area and could use some improvements. Two single beds pushed together were uncomfortable, and the mattresses were very uncomfortable too. They should use a double bed and latex or memory foam mattresses. Still, staying here was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

The entertainment was a highlight, lively and engaging without being pushy, and well suited to families with children. The dining room staff were attentive and helpful, and the food was decent. The buffet was plentiful if you arrived right when a meal began, but there wasn’t much left later on. This village near the sea has potential, but there’s a lot to improve. Reception staff didn’t explain how things worked, show us to our room, or give us an overview of the place. Our room hadn’t been cleaned well, with a dirty mirror, and it was never cleaned during the week. The inside of the wardrobe was also dirty. It smelled damp and had too little furniture, no hangers or clothes pegs, and old pillows. The bathroom had one towel rail and one for bidet towels, but no soap dish. For a room meant for three people, the bed had no bedspread. The price also bothered me. I found out that other guests paid half as much for the same service and had a better room. That doesn’t seem fair.
