The friendly staff and spotless bathroom stood out, and our room was clean, warm, and quiet. The hotel’s entrance gives you a lovely view of Santa Maria Maggiore every time you come in. It’s right in central Rome, with major sights including the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain reachable in about a 20-minute walk.

The location was excellent, and the shared kitchen was good to use. Our welcome was really warm, and the service was very good. The room was comfortable and very clean, with a nice bed and good upkeep. The air conditioning didn’t work properly for two days, though, and the shower drain wasn’t clearing the water well.

Breakfast was basically a banana and a few apples, and there wasn’t any drinking water. The price shown on booking was €38, but they charged us €54 in the end, and made us pay double taxes. It felt like a rip-off.

Everything else was fine and very clean. The kitchen has no sink or running water, though, and since nobody is at reception, you have to tell them in advance when you’ll arrive.

I chose it because it was inexpensive, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, and the bidet was awkward to use.
