It could use some renovation.

The best thing was the staff, who were always there when we needed them. Our apartment was roomy, though very basic, and the upkeep felt poor, with little thought given to simple things like coat hooks. The complex has apartments on the ground and first floors. A few small additions would have made the stay much more comfortable.
We had a lovely furnished terrace with a beautiful view of the sea, and free parking within the residential complex. The apartment had recently been renovated and was clean, freshly painted, and well kept, with a new fridge and the basic cooking utensils. The gardens were nicely maintained too. The complex is about 250 metres from the sea. There were no mosquito nets or air conditioning, which wasn't an issue in May, but summer visitors should keep that in mind.
The residence has just eight apartments, and ours was a spacious two-room place with a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is handy, although the spaces are a bit tight and can be hard to find at times. La Conia beach is about a 10-minute walk, roughly 700 metres away, and the town centre is a couple of kilometres off. It’s a good base for getting to the well-known beaches and sights along the Costa Smeralda.
We found the apartment clean and in great condition, and the hosts were helpful. A few basics were missing, including dish soap, sponges, a bath mat, and clothes pegs, so we had to pick them up at the supermarket. Still, we really enjoyed our time at Costa Mare, and the location was great. We’d gladly come back and recommend it.
