There are over 60 steps up to the apartment, with a very busy road right in front, so be aware of that. Public transport is limited, making a car the easiest way to get around. The place has good facilities and great views, and it’s a great base between Cannero Riviera and Cannobio on Lake Maggiore.

Such a beautiful spot.

There’s only a small parking area for camper vans, with no services, but the lake view is beautiful.

The lake and the island fortress ruins make a fantastic view from the apartment, which sits up the hillside and is reached by steps. It’s right on Seestrasse. Inside, the place has a vintage look, and it’s run by a very friendly older couple.

We got great value for the money, and the place itself was lovely and clean, with a beautiful lake view from the terrace. Getting there involves a fairly steep road, so walking down to the little private beach is quite a workout. The Wi-Fi was really poor and even unavailable for a few days, which was frustrating with young adults in the family.
