We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant, and the staff were helpful and spoke good English. The rooms are spacious, and the area is quiet, though the hotel sits a little outside Paestum centre. It’s a really nice place to stay around Paestum. I’d ask for a room away from the road. The trains can make things a bit noisy when they start in the morning.

We went in on Saturday morning expecting a nice lunch, but the service was painfully slow even though almost nobody was there. It took more than an hour for the first course. My spaghetti with clams was basically plain pasta, and the one whole clam I eventually found was full of sand and got stuck, so I asked them to replace it. That took another 40 minutes. A very disappointing meal, and I strongly advise against stopping here for lunch.

The rooms were clean and warm, and the staff were welcoming and polite, which made us feel at home. The food was delicious too. It's a great hotel and well worth the trip. If you're passing through, I recommend stopping in.

We ate really well at the attached restaurant each day, and its staff were very friendly. Our room, though, was in the basement, which wasn't great. It seems the rooms upstairs are better.
