Resort Capalbio

We stopped for one night on our way down the coast. There were lots of facilities, though it was raining while we were there. The restaurant food was good.

I've stayed at this resort two years in a row now, and I definitely want to come back. The staff are kind, helpful and know the local activities and sights. They also told us about Tuscany's history, especially Capalbio. There's a clean, well-kept pool and jacuzzi, with a bar for drinks or a snack. The resort also has great areas for sports and games, plus a lovely playground. The rooms are spotless, the food is lovely, and their wine and olive oil are delicious. A special thanks to the dining and cleaning teams. They were more than accommodating during our visit.

The family who owns the resort are warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and accommodating too. Most of them speak English, so it was easy to communicate. We had a great time here and would definitely recommend it.

The people here are really nice, which matters a lot to me. On vacation I don't want to be met with frozen faces, and they could smile while trying to understand my bad Italian. The weather wasn't great, but I can't blame them for that. We ate well. Three of us paid 100 EUR for a few dishes, dessert, wine, beer and water, which is fairly normal for the area. We had good al dente mushroom pasta, gnocchi, shrimp on a salad serving, and tiramisu. The rooms were okay, though the water pressure was a little low. The mosquito screen didn't quite fit its frame, so I felt a few insects might have gotten in.
