Tenuta San Pietro Hotel & Restaurant

Elisa was the standout of our stay at Tenuta San Pietro. She arranged transportation, checked in with us daily about meals, and coordinated accommodations before the trip. Our mother uses a wheelchair, so we wanted to understand access around the hotel. Elisa personally sent me WhatsApp videos of the entire property and all the entrances, so I could see the possible obstacles. Before we arrived, email communication with the staff was easy and they answered questions promptly. The property is beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and the meals were delicious. The rooms are small and the showers tiny, which is understandable in such an old property, but the hotel is in great condition. There’s a very small elevator that came in handy for heavy luggage. Our mother used it between floors without a problem. Meals were available daily, but we had to ask the staff what was on offer and when. It isn’t a fully functioning restaurant; they told us what was available, and we put together a menu from what they had on hand. That was no trouble, the food was spectacular and very well priced. I think breakfast may be included in the room rate, but can’t remember, so ask. Breakfast was incredible and substantial. We ordered with the front desk, usually the day before, and could add more once seated. Getting to Lucca in the valley took about 20-30 minutes by car. Elisa arranged rides there and back, which were simple and affordable, and the drivers were lovely. They picked us up at the hotel, let us spend several hours in town, then brought us back. The pool is gorgeous, with stunning views. Tenuta di Valgiano vineyard is worth visiting and about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Check details with staff in case anything’s changed since our June 2024 stay. I can’t thank Elisa enough. She’s one of the best in hospitality, an absolute treasure, and the true star of our stay. We’d love to return.

We celebrated our wedding over a long weekend at Tenuta San Pietro and had the best experience. The hotel sits in peaceful, beautiful hills overlooking Lucca, and the food was great, including a lovely breakfast. Eleonora and the whole staff were so welcoming and kind to our guests, and made sure everyone was comfortable. We can’t wait for another trip and expect to come back many times. Thank you!

We spent our honeymoon here and had a wonderful stay. The house is centuries-old, a former convent turned farmhouse, but it’s been modernized inside with all the amenities we could want. Early mornings out back among olive trees and grapevines, with roosters crowing and farmland, vineyards, and cypress trees on the horizon, were breathtaking. The service at this agriturismo was unmatched. Bertina checked in with us each morning about our plans and gave us great suggestions for places to see and eat. And the food, wow. We had some of the best meals of our whole trip at Tenuta San Pietro, including the best Cacio e pepe I’ve ever had. Local wines and fresh local ingredients like their olive oil, pecorino, and freshly made pici made for unforgettable meals. We highly recommend it for a trip through Tuscany.

The hilltop views from the hotel and pool were breathtaking, and our clean, comfortable room had its own patio. We spent three nights here and felt so relaxed and refreshed by the end. The staff were all friendly and helpful from check-in onward. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant one night, appetizers another night, and breakfast each morning. My husband and I can’t wait to return. Parking at the hotel is limited, and the roads are narrow, which made driving a little tricky at night. Still, it was a great experience, highly recommended!
