2/10
The room itself was decent, and the owner was nice, but the smell was unbearable. There’s a connecting door from the room to the owner’s home in the foyer, with another door separating it, thankfully. Still, whatever the odor was, it was so awful that we had to hold our breath coming and going. I don’t know if it was something dead, dirty, or something else, but it made me feel like throwing up right away. We were there only a couple of days, and the smell alone made this one of the worst places I’ve stayed. The room wasn’t the cleanest, but it wasn’t the worst either.

That little terrace looking over Verona’s rooftops was incredible, and the room was lovely. We came to Cento Passi for a concert at the Arena, which was postponed twice because of Covid. The owner held our room and honored the price we’d agreed on two years before. Breakfast isn’t included, but there’s a Nespresso machine and capsules for guests. Since it’s so central, cafés and pastry shops for breakfast are easy to find.

A spacious, quiet, comfortable room, close to everything, with good service and a good price. Breakfast was good too. I recommend it.

Quiet, cozy, and very clean, with the center just a few steps away.
