We had a wonderful time in a tent near the beach. The spot was super nice, and the courses they offer were good, with great service. Thanks for a lovely stay at Camping Stella Mare!

David led sports activities including snorkeling, hiking, and windsurfing, all included in the price. He knows the area well and shared plenty of fun facts during the outings. We even added a night to try the night snorkeling, which I highly recommend. We spent a week in early September in our tent on a basic pitch with a sea view. The view was beautiful, and the pitch was spacious with lots of shade. The sanitary facilities are dated, but the cleaning lady kept them perfectly clean. The Café staff were great, and the croissants and lunch dishes were delicious.

The restaurant served really tasty food, but you’ll need to book a table. The beach was a bit overcrowded, and local cafés played live music until midnight, so it was quite noisy. I’d recommend this place only if you’re travelling by car or van. Most of the setup suits vans and isn’t very tent-friendly. It’s a shame that people arriving without a car or van are at a disadvantage, since there are no tables or benches. We gave the service four stars because they brought a table to our pitch after we spoke with them.

It’s an amazing campsite, with easy access to a pristine beach and a nice pool. The setting could make for magical evenings, but the kids’ show starts late, Italian style, and blasts loud Italian euro-pop for two straight hours. I have four kids myself and have no issue with kids’ shows, but the volume is a real shame. Poolside relaxation in the afternoon isn’t possible either. The music from a speaker is far too loud and has piercing high notes, so coming back from the beach at 5 PM to relax by the pool doesn’t work. The toilets are tidy and clean, but there are no toilet seats and no soap. I’ve learned that’s quite the Italian way of doing things, but those seem like basic things to have. Even with those three suggestions for improvement, it’s truly an amazing place!

The pool is clean, there are plenty of loungers, and the private beach is lovely. You can also set off on several walks straight from the site, and the bar staff are great. The showers are the weak spot: the water pressure makes washing long hair a struggle, and the drains can smell quite strong. Better toilets and showers would make this place just about perfect.
