There’s a big, beautifully kept garden shared with another house, where you can barbecue and eat outside. The house itself has roomy spaces and a lovely veranda. Lido di Capoliveri and Selciaio are about 700-800 meters away. A really nice place, highly recommended.

The bins outside the bedroom windows were the biggest problem. Smells drifted in at night, and very early in the morning the waste trucks were noisy. On our last day, heavy rain also came through the ceiling and soaked the sun lounger below. I know it was bad weather, but some maintenance might have prevented that. The nearest beach, Felciaio, is down a winding path that’s not workable with children. Lido di Capoliveri is another 400-500 meters on, and the return is almost all uphill. The house is fairly cozy and the outdoor space is pleasant, though the garden shower was so cold we barely could use it. More kitchen utensils and mosquito nets in the second bedroom would have helped. It was okay, but not great.

The location is fantastic and the price felt very fair. We did run into a problem with the running water at the end of our holiday, but the owner, Guido, was helpful and got it sorted.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the place worked well for three adults and a child. That floor-level bed is fine for a toddler, but really uncomfortable for an adult. With four adults, it would be a different story.
