It's a long walk from the taxi drop-off, so call the hotel and have them collect your luggage. Don't drag it all the way. The place is amazing for the price, and the staff are super friendly. Our room was a little small, but we were out exploring most of the time, so it didn't matter much. The balcony was big, the hot tub worked great, and the bathroom and shower were a good size, with strong hot water pressure. We had dinner there the first night. It was amazing: I had lamb chops and my wife had tenderloin so tender you could cut it with a fork. Breakfast is included, with an omelette, scrambled eggs or Overeasy, fruit, yogurt, assorted meat, croissants, and typical Italian food. Adding anything to an omelette costs €12 Extra. The pool was nice and warm, though it had a little too much chlorine. There's an outside shower to rinse off. In the room, there's a small coffee machine for making your own NT and a mini fridge that costs extra, though you can keep your own drinks in it. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a little stiff.

We were very happy with our 6 nights here. The restaurant food and service were incredible, and it was the best food we had at Capri. The rooms were tastefully decorated, and the jacuzzi was a big plus. The hotel sits high on a hill, so it's hard to get to. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone with mobility problems. Some small details also fell short of what I'd expect from a 5 star hotel, but we still had a very nice stay.

I was in Capri for work, but Villa Lia turned out to be a lovely surprise. It's perched high up at one of the island's most panoramic spots, and the service was thoughtful, with staff always attentive to what I needed. The walk up is part of the Capri experience and felt enchanting to me. If it's too much of a walk, maybe Capri isn't for you. The island has no time for the faint-hearted.

The hotel is gorgeous, with a big room, great quality amenities, and a fabulous terrace with a breathtaking view. It is up a hill with lots of stairs, which is fine for a healthy person, but of course I wouldn't recommend it for kids or seniors. Shoutout to marco at reception, and especially gennaro, who carried my bag at checkout. Thanks, guys. I'll definitely come back next year. Gab FB

The room was very luxurious, the view was absolutely stunning, and the staff were kind and obliging. When you reach 11 via Tuoro and see the private property signs, keep going to the top of the path. Turn left and look for the white stones marking their landscaping. It's a tiring climb, but they greet you with complimentary refreshments, and the stay is unforgettable.
