Villa Quattro Colonne

What a magical stay, and such a great location. It felt perfect.

For sunset portraits, Arco Tragara is only about a 10-minute walk away and is an incredible spot. The villa also has quieter, tucked-away places for photos. I photographed a wedding at Villa Quattro Colonne in April, with guests from the US and the Netherlands, many staying for several days. The ceremony was on the terrace, which has a beautiful open view and suited a smaller group of around 18. This is a private villa rather than a standard wedding venue, so the atmosphere feels more personal and less structured. It suits couples who want to shape their day themselves instead of following a set format. The exposed setting means the sun can be strong for guests in warmer months. I'd plan the ceremony for closer to sunset, around two hours before. It's a strong choice for an intimate Capri wedding focused on atmosphere, views, and a relaxed, intentional experience. We had a family holiday here, and the villa's terrace view was picturesque. The interior has an elegant style and looked like the renovation photos. Manager Luigia Gava kindly suggested restaurants and walks, and we're grateful to her. The service problems made the stay difficult. The person meeting us for check-in was 20 minutes late, didn't show us around or explain anything about the villa. At checkout he was 40 minutes late, which nearly made us miss the ferry, and he was holding our cash deposit. The kitchen had no kettle and was very dark, with almost no light. The villa was also quite damp, with lots of mosquitoes and midges, and it seemed the owners weren't paying attention to the problem. The stay could have been wonderful if someone had welcomed us, shown us how things worked, and explained what we'd need. For now, the price is high and the service quality is low.
