It's quiet and affordable, and comfortable and clean, but there's not much beyond that. The menu felt far too basic. On half board in Trentino, having pasta with tomato sauce or barley minestrone for half the meals wasn't great. I've never had pasta, dumplings, and the like that tasted government-run. We were on holiday for a week with three children and three people in their seventies. One day, my parents were told a menu dish had sold out, but the people at the next table, who arrived after check-in, were served it. We raised it with the staff and they apologized, which we appreciated. My aunt was also charged more than we had agreed, and we had to bring it to their attention. If you don't expect much, it's fine.

The owners were welcoming, and breakfast had a good range to choose from. My single room was small but worked fine, though it had no terrace. The shared spaces aren't particularly new, but that didn't bother me. Cavalese is about a 15-minute walk away, and the value for money is excellent. I'd happily stay again.
