The proprietress was super friendly, and the rooms were spotless. It’s an old villa in a gorgeous park, with creaky floors and classic shutters that do their job. We even got a bonus sixth star when a thunderstorm rolled through on a warm summer night. The lightning and thunder around the villa made quite a show! This place has so much character, up in the hills behind the Riviera. Sure, it isn’t newly built, and I wouldn’t choose it for a business trip. For a leisure stay, though, it’s a real treat, far better than some soulless corporate hotel.

The location was peaceful, and the hosts were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the delicious Italian breakfast. Our spacious, comfortable room was classy and very clean, with a modern bathroom. A beautiful stay at this gorgeous relais!

The people running this place were very nice and friendly, and it’s really pretty from the outside. Some amenities weren’t available during my stay because of covid. I wish I’d seen that on the website, though I may have missed it. The rooms would feel much warmer with different lightbulbs, and that would make a big difference. Still, it’s a great place and I recommend staying.
