The mountain views were really lovely, and there’s a ski slope just behind the property. There was no snow in May, but we used the trail area for a little walk in the mountains. The room was cute, with lots of wood, and breakfast was pretty good. Coffee was offered too. At 75 euro for 2 people over the 1 May holiday weekend, it felt well worth it. I’d recommend it for a short stay.

The woods on one side and the ski lift on the other make for a lovely setting, and there are some good hiking routes nearby. For a meal, you can head down to Careggine, a quiet but very nice place. The only restaurant is BAR RISTORANTE VALENTINA, where we ate really well and the owners were so courteous, friendly, and kind. A weekend here can give you a bit of the relaxation that’s missing from everyday life. Thanks, I recommend it.

The food was good and freshly cooked, and we chose the half-board option. Our room was quiet and cozy. We came for a few days to unwind, and the hotel gave us a chance to enjoy some peaceful time in the heart of the Apuan Alps National Park.

Breakfast was good and varied, dinner was acceptable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely mountain hut feel, all in wood. Our room wasn’t very spacious, but it was more than adequate. The bathroom looked nice, though larger people might find it difficult to use, and the shower mats definitely need replacing. One issue was that our window faced the entrance garden, where guests use loungers, so we couldn’t open it without being seen. People staying out late there often made it hard to fall asleep.
