La Rosa delle Dolomiti

We booked a larger apartment than we needed, so I can't really judge the size, but it looked a little worn. Unless you're about 2m tall, the wardrobe rails may be hard to reach. The outlets are Italian three-pin ones, though they also take standard European two-pin plugs. Reception was pleasant and check-in was easy. Remember to bring cash for the required cleaning charge and 'city tax'. The bond can be secured on a CC, though reports about that seem to vary. You can walk into Pinzolo, but doing it in ski boots isn't really practical. There is a ski bus, but only two each way during the day, and the timing can vary by about 15 minutes. The stop wasn't obvious to us at first. Turn right as you leave the residence, then right again at the end of the road; it's probably only fifteen meters ahead on the right. If leaving the ski room, use the door at the left end of the garage rather than the car ramp, which makes the walk much shorter. Supposedly you can buy the ski-bus ticket from the driver for €2, or book a seven-day ticket online. Some other buses may require advance tickets, so check before using them. It's our first day, so we'll see how it goes.

The spa was a letdown. It was advertised as a luxury retreat, but felt more like a glorified bathtub, with lukewarm water and jets that only partly worked. Getting to the ski lifts was also a long trek, despite the claims about being conveniently close, so think twice if you don't want a long walk each morning. We stayed a week, and our room was never cleaned. They didn't tidy it or change the towels even once. The whole experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The garden outside our room and the view were the parts I enjoyed most. It was a quiet place, and the town center is very close from rta. Our room was equipped well enough for six days, with crockery, an oven, a hair dryer, and a TV in the living room. You eventually get used to things. :) There were a lot of drawbacks. The ski area is far away and only reachable by car. The room temperature goes up to 23 degrees Celsius, and the ski equipment room has no security camera. Wi-Fi was poor. The “one free hour at the spa” applied only to the family who booked, not all three families. At arrival, we had to pay the tax and a 70€ cleaning fee in cash right away, before I'd even unloaded the car. Although we'd paid for cleaning, we got four large towels and they weren't changed during our stay. A blonde middle-aged woman at reception spoke only Italian, not English, so it was hard to communicate. It was a comedy, really, given that travelers from various countries come through every day.

The notices in the room said an untidy room would bring a 50€ fine, yet no cleaning was provided despite paying the fee. Right after arrival, the administration demanded a 70€ cleaning charge per room, in cash only. It felt like a way to avoid some applicable taxes. Staying here was the worst experience I've had, a complete rip-off.
