La Gufaia - Holiday House with Private Pool Near Florence

Our group had a great week here, with plenty of time to relax by the clean, well-kept pool. Shops and other services are nearby in Prato, and Artemino, a few kilometers away, is worth seeing. You can also arrange a private chef. A good place for a larger group.

We spent a weekday at the pool and found it quiet and relaxing. The price for pool access and lunch was reasonable, and parking was available. Service was courteous and good overall, though it wasn’t very fast.

The staff, two young men and a woman, were kind and helpful, and made me feel at home. I also made good use of the poolside relaxation area for reading, and the breakfast terrace has a superb view. My studio was lovely, with the essentials, including air conditioning, a tucked-away kitchenette, and a spacious bathroom. Through the window, the view fades into the green Tuscan hills, and I really liked the country-chic decor. I was looking for a quiet place surrounded by greenery, and this B&B suited that well. A couple of minor things: I had to wipe grease off the kitchen tiles by the stove, and the mattress was softer than I prefer, though comfort is personal. Pets are allowed for an added charge, which I found acceptable. I highly recommend it.

We had such a lovely, peaceful day by the pool, away from the usual daily rush. It never felt crowded, and you can bring your own food or get cold dishes there. A beautiful place to relax. We’ll definitely return.
