The pool and breakfast are both great, and the hotel feels authentic. The rooms are looking tired, though. They charge 30 euros to use the little kitchens in the rooms now, even just to boil a kettle, which doesn't seem very fair.

The building is really beautiful, and we felt safe with the gates closed at night. We booked just an hour before arriving at 8pm, but the extra beds were already made up and the heat was on to take the chill out of the room. Everyone made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed my complementary cappuccino. There's also a pizza place across the road that stays open late. Maybe someday we'll come in summer and use the lovely pool.

The free parking is next to the hotel, and there's a small, nice gym too. It's a good place to stay if you're going to the Cremona circuit or somewhere else nearby. The staff are very friendly, and the typical Italian breakfast is just right. Rooms are clean and spacious, though they could use an update. It's a small, authentic hotel in Casalmaggiore. There's no restaurant on site, but a very nice pizzeria is within walking distance and opens at 19:00.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the hotel itself was clean. The breakfast is very simple, though the fresh orange juice was nice. Getting in was a frustrating start: I arrived at 14:00 and had forgotten to arrange access in advance, so I was stuck outside for 3 hours. There's nobody to open the door between 12:00-17:00 or after 21:00, so you need to make arrangements with them beforehand. I also didn't like the room layout. A shelf above the bed made it impossible to lean back and watch TV or read, so I had to sit on the coach instead. The basin is right in front of the bed, and the bathroom has no door or ceiling. The toilet has no ceiling either, so the smells and humidity come into the room, which I really disliked. It might be OK for one or two nights, but I wouldn't recommend staying longer.

The rooms are nice and clean, but being on a main road means it can get quite noisy. Also, they charge extra if you use the kitchen, which is something I've never come across before.
