Resort Terme La Pergola

The three brothers who own this place are friendly, helpful, and do everything they can to make you feel at home. The grounds are fantastic, with plenty of spots to relax in the Italian sunshine. Rooms are basic, but they're always clean and tidy. The hot and cold pools are lovely for unwinding, and the food is superb with generous portions. Dinner is served at 8pm, leaving time to explore before coming back to eat. The owners also shuttle guests into town and to the port, and even showed us their own vineyard, followed by a fantastic wine tasting. If you want a friendly place to chill out and relax, this is it.

Getting there on foot is difficult, but they run frequent navetta (van) trips to two nearby towns. The resort is spacious, with little nooks and sunbeds tucked around the grounds. There are 7 pools, and even in September they never felt too crowded. The view from the bar and restaurant is gorgeous. My husband got sick, and the staff went out of their way to help him. They were the nicest people I've met, and the rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, and the relaxing benessere packages were lovely. The shower curtain could use improvement, but it wouldn't stop us from booking again. Absolutely recommend!

The surrounding area is so quiet, and the view of the ocean is stunning. At night, you can enjoy a delicious drink made by the bar staff while taking in the scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful with everything, and the free shuttle goes to the small town down the hill and to the port. Breakfast was a small spread but more than enough, and they even made the vegetarian eggs we wanted. The rooms suit hot summer days, with air conditioning and a cute balcony for drying our swim gear. The kids loved the pools, while we booked a massage and facial. We loved the energy of the place and its people, and hope to return to this paradise one day.

The pools were my favorite part, and you can also book spa treatments for an extra charge. There's parking for cars, and scooters are available to rent at the hotel, too. It's a good choice for a quiet Ischia getaway, whether you're traveling as a couple or with family. The rooms are spacious, though they should be renovated. For now, they have everything you need. Breakfast is varied and delicious.
