Hotel La Madonnina

We stayed at La Madonnina Hotel & Spa after 10 days of traveling around Rome and the Amalfi coast, and it was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The hotel is high on the cliffs of Ischia, with spectacular Tyrrhenian Sea views. It's exceptionally clean and well maintained, and our spacious, beautifully appointed room had floors that were a work of art. We got an upgrade to a larger room with a big patio and breathtaking views, and it was ready even though we arrived a couple of hours early. The service was outstanding. The staff are warm, friendly, and so helpful. The ladies at the front desk treated us like family. They arranged a car to collect us at the port, organized our trip back to Naples, and suggested wonderful restaurants and places to visit, along with tips for getting around. There's a convenient bus stop right outside the front door. The hotel is between the two ports, with one port, shops, restaurants, and gelato within walking distance. Breakfast was included and served in the restaurant overlooking the sea, with a great selection of freshly prepared American and Italian style options. The private beach club, outdoor dining patio, and spa were amazing, and the chairs and umbrellas were included in our stay. La Madonnina exceeded our expectations. I hope to return someday and would highly recommend it. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

The hotel was amazing, with an incredible location and service. Someone met us at the port when we arrived on the island. I felt like I was staying at The White Lotus. If I get to visit Ischia again, I'd choose La Madonnina.

The staff made our weeklong family holiday especially lovely. Francesco, Marianna, Aldo, Luca, and everyone else made us feel so welcome, and we were able to properly relax. The swimming area is very comfortable, and you can head out exploring in a kayak. The restaurant views at sunset are unbearable, and the food is delicious, especially the zucchini pasta. My only suggestion would be to allow small changes to the breakfast menu, so guests could choose scrambled eggs and bacon instead of just fried eggs and bacon. The rooms look much nicer in person than in the photos, though the AC can be quite noisy.

Francesco was great with the wine choices and gave us some really good recommendations for dinner and drinks around the island. Aldo, the bartender, made amazing cocktails and knew a lot about things to do. Thanks as well to Francesca, Alessandro, Mariana, and the front desk staff for the excellent service. La Madonnina has a fantastic setting, looking out over the sea and mountains. Our room was bright and comfortable, with a small terrace, a bistro table, and a pull-out drying rack. The waterfront is even better than the pictures, and breakfast and lunch by the water were excellent.
