Agriturismo Travaglini

Really top-notch.

The rooms were quiet and had air conditioning, and the view made our relaxing weekend even better: Casoli below us, the Ducal Castle in full view, and the Majella looking over it all. Claudia was so welcoming and kind. I celebrated my birthday there with my family, and everyone agreed the food was delicious. This agriturismo really reflects the Casoli area. The owner's mother keeps the local peasant cooking tradition alive with her skilled hands. Make sure to try the pan-cooked rabbit, cheese and egg balls, and excellent cured meats. The seasonal first courses and the meat were excellent too. Recommended.

We only stayed one night, but it was lovely to be surrounded by nature, ducks, cats, and other animals. I slept like a log, then had fresh coffee, hot milk, pastries, and jam for a hearty breakfast before leaving. The dinner was wonderful too, with top-quality products, mostly home-grown, and the price for three was more than fair. I ate enough for two. I can't think of anything I didn't like. This is a real working agriturismo, with both meals and bed & breakfast. The room had everything we needed and was clean, as was the bathroom. Mrs. Claudia welcomed us and was kind and helpful from the start. It might not look like much when you first arrive, but the best comes later. I've read reviews I don't agree with. If you want the Hilton, pay Hilton prices and book it. I prefer places like this, rustic but decent. I would come back often if it weren't 700 km from home.

The menu was all typical Abruzzese and absolutely fabulous 👍. I booked the agriturismo for Ferragosto (August 15th), and Claudia and the staff were very kind and professional. I'll definitely stay there again next year, it's excellent 😉
