I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The neighborhood felt sketchy, and our toilet didn’t work. The older man who came banging on our door said, after we’d paid, that there was also a room tax. We handed him a larger bill, but he didn’t return the change. When the toilet broke, he wanted to charge us to fix it. For your own safety, I’d look for somewhere else.

The room was clean, had air conditioning, and coffee was available in the morning. Antonio was a very friendly host, though it’ll be easier if someone in your group speaks Italian, as my partner does. Some negative reviews seem to come from travelers who mistook the place for the airport after the name changed. It’s about a 35-minute walk from the airport, and the roads are awkward on foot, so take a taxi if you have luggage. There’s also a tourist tax to pay in cash, which he collects, as happens around Italy.

We felt so unsafe during this stay that we left hours before our arranged airport ride. I’d rather spend the night on a stone bench outside Naples airport than stay another minute here. I’d urge women travelling alone or in small groups to avoid this B&B. It was distressing and inappropriate from start to finish. Antonio’s behavior crossed a line repeatedly. After knocking, he came into our room without being invited. When I asked about a nearby ATM, he offered to drive me alone, not my friend and me together. We needed cash for the city tax, so I went with him. During the drive he asked my age, called me “bella” (pretty), and made other personal remarks. On the way back, he looked at me and asked “bella?” as if asking whether I thought I was pretty. I said no, and he replied “sì, sì, sì” in a way that felt inappropriate. He then pointed to a house at the end of the B&B’s street and asked “my house?” I declined. Back at the property, he asked if my friend and I were sisters or just friends, called us both beautiful, and tried to hold our hands. It felt intrusive and entirely inappropriate from someone responsible for guests. We arrived already unsettled by the area. The B&B is in Secondigliano, on the outskirts of Naples, and the neighborhood felt run-down, poorly lit and unsafe, especially at night. It’s far from central Naples and didn’t have the lively or secure feel we expected in a tourist area. We felt uncomfortable from the beginning, and that feeling only got worse. The arrival setup was chaotic too. We hadn’t received the iron gate code, so a neighbor’s child had to let us in, then show us where the rooms were because there were no signs or directions. Antonio didn’t speak English, but we managed with Google Translate, so the language itself wasn’t the problem. The poor communication and setup were. We’d arranged for Antonio to drive us to the airport the next morning, but we asked to leave hours early because we felt so unsafe. I strongly advise against staying here, especially if you’re a woman travelling alone or with a small group.

We expected the place to be near the airport because of its name, but it’s a 35-minute walk away and our stay was awful. If you’re considering it, look up the street and surrounding area in Google Maps. Online, Secondigliano is described as one of Naples’ most unsafe areas, and we felt frightened as soon as we arrived. The host only contacted us through WhatsApp. The entry code didn’t work, and a neighbor eventually let us in. Once inside, someone started banging on the door and shouting in Italian. We kept saying we didn’t speak Italian, but he carried on. The host said the man, named Antonio, wanted €10 extra and a higher tax than the amount listed on Booking. We refused at first, but the banging and yelling continued, so we paid. He came back and did it again. We turned off the lights and used translation to say we’d call the police, and then he left. It was a terrible experience. There are many similar accounts in the Google Maps reviews, even though Booking doesn’t show them. If you don’t want to feel scared or unsafe, research the place carefully. If you’ve already booked, I strongly suggest canceling. I wouldn’t stay a minute even if they offered a free month, and I wouldn’t walk through that area either.

This isn’t an airport, it’s a bed and breakfast. Our stay at Airport Napoli was a disappointment, and I wouldn’t book it if you want somewhere safe, convenient and well managed. The airport is a 10-minute drive away, despite the impression that it’s nearby. We paid an extra 20-25 euros each way for the taxi. The neighborhood felt rough and very dark, there was no sign for the property, and even our driver didn’t know where to drop us off. No one was at the front desk when we arrived, and the only way to reach the owner was WhatsApp. They hadn’t contacted us before we got there, so we felt completely unprepared. We were also told the city tax had to be paid in cash. That meant withdrawing money from an ATM and paying a high fee. The lack of clear information and basic professionalism left us frustrated. A kind older neighbor named Antonio was the one bright spot. He helped us get settled, though he spoke only Italian, so we were grateful for Google Translate. He also offered to drive us to the airport for 20 euros, which was a relief amid the confusion.
