LE ZAGARE B&B - Ares

Signora Concetta was so sweet, kind, and attentive, and made sure my almost 4-year-old son had everything he needed and more. She also pointed me toward lovely places to visit and some of the best spots in Cassino for lunch and dinner. The B&B is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. It felt like a fairytale!

The price was high and the service poor. Breakfast at the bar they chose was skimpy, just a croissant and coffee or cappuccino, and there was no working internet. They have 300 lines, but not one works. The room was very noisy, with street-cleaning trucks and public transport passing in the middle of the night. There are mirrors, but they’re tiny, so don’t expect to get a proper look at yourself before heading out. If you have important commitments, you may want to keep searching.

The owners were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the B&B is carefully put together, with refined furnishings, lovely bed and bath linens, and a huge air-conditioned room with a huge TV. Breakfast is in a pleasant shared kitchen, with a coffee machine and milk frother, plus fresh pastries each morning. There’s also a fridge where you can leave your food overnight. I was very satisfied and would recommend it if you want a little pampering while staying in Cassino. It’s on a very central street, which can sometimes be noisy at night.
