Hotel Cucciolo

I booked at the Cucciolo after reading other people’s reviews. I know it’s a 2-star hotel, but the room made me feel like I’d wandered into a 1960s movie. Pretty bare bones, with a shower curtain that kept sticking to me and a carpet laid over an uneven floor, its edges sticking up. The bathroom was excellent, but the room wasn’t very clean. There was lots of dust on the headboard, bedside lamp, and closet when I ran my finger over them. At €91 for a double, I expected more.

For a 2-star hotel, this was amazing. The room was clean and well kept, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. The location is especially convenient, and the owners were kind and welcoming. We had a great stay and will come back.

I found parking easily, and there are little trattorias, shops, and well-stocked supermarkets close by. The hotel was a pleasant discovery and lived up to the good reviews I’d read. Staff were incredibly kind and friendly, sharing clear information promptly and welcoming me with real courtesy. Even though I had to leave early, they served me a generous, lovely breakfast with fresh pastries. My room was cozy and just right for one person. It had adjustable temperature, spotless carpeting, a large comfortable bed, and a lovely fragrance. It was very quiet, with beautiful modern windows and blinds I could close to make the room completely dark. I’d happily recommend it.
