Our room was spacious and clean, with a great view, and there's a nice pool to unwind by. Dinner was perfect, made with high-quality local products at a reasonable price. It's a beautiful, historic farmhouse in the hills, not far from Bologna, and I love its distinctive atmosphere.

Our daughters felt like princesses staying in "la torre," and Angelo was great. Dinner was delicious, especially both kinds of tortelloni, con radichio and con burro e salvia. The children had lots of fun in the pool too. The room got really hot, and we missed having air conditioning. We had to sleep with the windows open, though luckily there were no mosquitoes.

We only had dinner, sitting outside by the pool. The antipastos included lots of homemade items, the tortellini was perfect, and the dessert was nice.

It's a bit of a drive from Modena, probably less of one from Bologna, but I think it's worth the trip. We went for lunch, though you can also stay overnight. The place is rustic and out in the countryside. They specialize in pork from pigs they breed themselves, as well as wild game, with wild boar on the menu. I'd definitely return.
