Podere Mazzarelle

Getting there means taking a country road that can be tricky in places, though the views along it are lovely. The farmhouse itself is peaceful, with a real sense of the past. Our apartment had pretty views and was furnished with care, using period furniture and accessories that made it feel like stepping back in time. The living room was roomy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms were charming, the bathroom small but well arranged, and the heating still came in handy at night in early spring. Outside, there’s a large open space where we sat at a table, caught some warm sunshine, and chatted in peace. Parking in the big courtyard was easy, and the air smelled of rosemary. Our very kind host gave us the information we needed and some useful meal suggestions. We’ve been visiting this beautiful part of Tuscany, between Umbria and Lazio, in spring and autumn for years. This old estate is one we’ll keep in mind for future trips.

A lovely property with comfortable, welcoming rooms and all the comforts you need. If you want a few days surrounded by nature and a chance to completely unwind, this is the place. Highly recommend it.

Everything was impeccable during my two-day stay at this dream of a place. I was especially struck by how carefully all the little details had been chosen. You don’t often find somewhere this beautiful, with nothing left to chance. If you love peace and being surrounded by nature, I definitely recommend it. The setting is fabulous, with a lovely view of the hills, the nearby lake, and the old yellow earth mine. This traditional Tuscan farmhouse has been completely renovated and has a swimming pool, with careful attention throughout. There are several apartments in different sizes to suit different needs. Ours was spacious and very well kept, with a porch available for dining outdoors. Excellent service.
