Al Viminale Relais - Guesthouse

The location was really convenient, and I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, though on the small side. Just know it's more like an apart-hotel: they've rented half a floor in a residential building. We did have hot water in March 2026, despite what some other guests said. It took a little while to heat up: the first minute was lukewarm, then after about 2-3 minutes it was properly hot once you set the temperature. My one complaint was being woken one night by a coffee machine in the lobby at 3 AM. No idea who was making coffee then.

We had a big room by Rome standards, with a comfortable bed and great AC. The old building was lovely, and its elevator had a classic feel. Daniele, the owner, was great about communicating the check-in details. The location was handy too, near the Metro and Termini station, right across from the Opera house. Highly recommend.

We stayed in a triple room and found it very pleasant. It was clean, well managed, and spacious for Rome, with a comfortable bed. The price felt like good value, and there was reasonable access to the train and major sites. Just be aware that the front desk is staffed only from 8-4. You can call them, but arriving or checking out outside those hours could be a problem. It's not run like a typical North American hotel.

The location made getting around easy, with everything within walking distance. Our room was ready even though we arrived before check-in, and the staff let us leave our bags after checkout on the last day. They were lovely and friendly. We were there for our 10 year anniversary, and the room was just right for us. It was beautiful, cleaned daily, and even on mornings when we slept in, the cleaner had come back to fix it up. The bathroom was lovely too, especially the therapeutic shower. The original lift gave the place a real, homely Italian feel. There's nothing negative I can say. I'd absolutely recommend it and would stay again if I return to Italy. Thanks for a wonderful trip.
