We came for dinner while we were here for the world dog show. After the staff forgot our main course and assumed we had finished, we waited two hours. The service was terrible, and we didn’t feel very welcome as guests from other countries.

The risotto al tartufo was spectacular, and the mixed meat dish was really good too. We had a great combination, with house wine that was excellent value. On our second visit, the woman at reception was very friendly. She explained why lunch was full and found us a nice table for dinner. We’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommended!

The set menu let us try a range of courses, and it was so good we wanted more. Standouts were the Risotto al tartufo nero, tortelloni burro el salvia, and the extra coniglio al forno. There’s a lovely atmosphere, with part of the dining room set aside for guests staying at the attached hotel. The cooking was excellent. I’d recommend the restaurant to Bologna visitors looking for a more intimate meal away from the crowds.

The staff made us feel welcome, and we had time to relax and talk around the table while enjoying a traditional Italian dinner. We chose the all in meal, with five different pastas brought out to share as the first course, then meat, and finally lemoncello, coffee and scarpa. It was our favorite dinner in Italy during our 12 day trip.

They even kept the kitchen open for us when we arrived late. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the whole experience was excellent. I’d absolutely come back.
