Barbara and her husband Massimo put a lot of care into everything, and I’m grateful for that. I’ve stayed at their property twice now, using it as a base for trips around the area and even as far as the Dolomites. It’s become a place I can count on. Thanks again. I reserve four stars as my top rating for places I consider excellent.

Our day trips around Veneto brought us back to Casa Daisy in Castelcucco after a short journey from Valdarno. The guesthouse is a charming little place, and the newly renovated corner building is a lovely base for exploring the region. We’d stayed here for a few days in 2017, and the rooms still have everything we need: a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher, stocked for the stay, plus a private bathroom and toilet in each one. Barbara, her husband, and their son welcome guests with real warmth and care for the details. Everything was spotless, as it has been on our visits before. We’ll definitely return.

The photos made the place look inviting, which made our stay all the more disappointing. The owners were extremely rude, and our room had a strong smell of smoke. Once we arrived, the lack of professionalism was obvious.
