The pool was big and really nice, and everyone on staff made us feel welcome. We had dinner at the hotel and loved it, with attentive servers who were there whenever we needed them. The room was spacious, and those huge bath towels were great. Having breakfast included was a lovely bonus. We’d like to come back.

I expected more from a four-star hotel. The room was much too cold, and there was no way to get the temperature sorted. Also, check the beer before drinking it. They poured it into a glass, and it had expired. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Parking was very good, and the shopping center is about a five-minute walk away. The city center takes around 20 minutes on foot. The hotel has the facilities you’d expect, but it’s old, and the room is too. Service was fine, though I couldn’t get a shirt ironed and was told to go to the nearby shopping center for that. The restaurant was okay, but for the price I expected more. I ordered an Angus steak, and about a third was inedible because of the tendons. Italy’s idea of a four-star hotel feels a little different from what I’d expect.

I asked to book two rooms for one night and explained that I only have a debit card. I offered to pay when we arrived or by bank transfer two weeks ahead, but they emailed to say they don’t accept guests without a credit card. So I’m not welcome just because I don’t have one? That felt rude and discriminatory. Maybe they’ve already forgotten the two years of Covid.
