Lovely view from the restaurant, good food and services, and staff who were happy to accommodate us.

We could get a meal downstairs from the pizzeria, or buy something at one of the food shops just up the road when we wanted a lazy evening in. That pizzeria is run by the apartment owners, who also own a busy, popular cafe on the corner across the street. It’s all very convenient. The apartment was beautiful and very clean, with stunning valley views. We stayed in July 2015, right in the village, which was a great base for visiting the lovely towns and villages nearby. The village itself is excellent too, with friendly people, restaurants and shops. We hope to return soon.

That white pizza with truffle and prosciutto was incredible, and so was the house red. The truffle was amazing, the prosciutto practically melted in my mouth, and the dough was delicious too. I haven’t tried anything else there, but those two things alone made it feel exceptional. The price was very fair, and I’d have taken a bottle of the wine home if I could.

The house wine was undrinkable, and the pizza I got looked much less appealing than the ones I’d seen other people order earlier. The meal itself wasn’t bad, but nothing special, and with what we paid, I don’t think it was worth it. We may have landed in the middle of what I think was a children’s birthday party. It was so chaotic we couldn’t talk. There also seemed to be a communication problem between the person taking orders, the pizzeria and the kitchen, or maybe the order taker wasn’t communicating well. For example, we ordered one potato salad, but the waitress wrote down two.

Out of the six pizzas we ordered, two had a hole in the middle that had been covered with toppings, and the other four were the size of mini pizzas. The prices are still exorbitant for the portions and service. We won’t be coming back to this town or pizzeria. The service was poor. Most of the staff were rude and acted as if serving us was a favor. It was obvious to me that friendly customers were treated better than tourists. We also had to eat with noisy children running and screaming between the tables, and nobody stepped in.
