Green Holidays

We stayed in the green apartment for a week with friends, and it was the best week of our holiday. Francesca gave us a lovely welcome and was kind, discreet, and hospitable. Nino was up at dawn cleaning the pool and garden, and the pool was extra clean. He also brought us peeled prickly pears, grapes, and melons, which made us feel looked after. The sheets aren’t changed, but there’s a washing machine to wash them. Everything was perfect for us, and I completely disagree with the negative reviews. We had a wonderful time and will be back. The owners were so kind and did their best to meet all our requests. We had plenty of outdoor space and two lovely pools with panoramic views. The villas are tastefully furnished, comfortable, and impeccably clean. It’s only a few minutes by car to the center and the sea. A magnificent place, I’d recommend it to everyone.

The pool was dirty and left for the owners’ family to use for parties, while guests are paying. During our eight days, our sheets and towels were never changed, and everything seemed old. I also found the setup dangerous for families with children: there are no gates, and they had improvised one with two platforms full of nails. A child could fall into a reinforced concrete drop at least two meters high. With all due respect to the positive reviews, I’ll document this disappointment with photos.

The staff were extremely friendly, and we had the pools, loungers, and umbrellas at our disposal. The property is carefully looked after and only a few minutes’ drive from the beaches. I’d recommend staying at Green Holidays, as well as visiting Castellammare del Golfo.
