The owner was very kind. We spoke with him several times in the days before our August stay, and he even offered to pick us up. But he forgot to mention that the house had no drinkable water, and we only found that out once we arrived. He offered a refund when he realized we were unhappy, but finding another place in August would have been difficult and could have ruined our vacation. You can draw your own conclusion. The cottage is in a convenient spot for reaching San Vito lo Capo and the Zingaro nature reserve, and the countryside is peaceful. Still, the apartment we got didn't match what was shown online. The photos seemed to combine two different apartments, so on arrival you don't know which one you'll be given.
