Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais

The rooms and apartments were spacious, tidy, and beautifully decorated, and the venue itself felt dreamy. We rented Borgo for our wedding last September and had an amazing time. The staff were always available and accommodating, though I felt the weekend package price could have included more complete service and attention for us. We loved the venue. Grazie!

The biggest problem was getting around the grounds. Loose gravel roads and few walkways on the hills made it treacherous to move between villas and around the venue, and at least two people slipped and were injured. If you're staying a few days and want to see nearby Tuscan sights, renting a car is worthwhile. Taxi drivers only offer one-way trips. We stayed here for a family wedding and were lucky to enjoy a beautiful property, with lovely Tuscan views and sunsets from the bluffs. Despite what other reviews say, I have only good things to say about the staff.

I stayed for a wedding on the grounds, and the spring scenery was gorgeous, with incredible sunsets. My favorite part was a pair of Tawny Owls living somewhere nearby. One was often visible during the day, perched on a branch about 50 feet west of the walkway past the office and event rooms.

We had our wedding at Borgo di Pietrafitta in May 2025 and can't imagine a more picturesque or cozy place for the celebration. Ekaterina and Sonia were two of the loveliest people we've met, so kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and all the staff were helpful and kind. The venue is gorgeous in the hills, with lush slopes and beautiful trees. We could choose where to hold the ceremony, aperitivo, and reception. Having rain options on site mattered to us too, since we didn't want to spend several thousand euro on a tent. With fewer than 50 guests, we could have used the on-site church or wine cellar for dinner if the weather had been wet. Our guests loved staying on the property, from the pool and ping-pong table to the open space for walks and wandering. The apartments are cozy and comfortable, and the main villa rooms feel like elite hotel rooms. Breakfast had a wide range of choices, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. We also loved the on-site wine and olive oil tasting, and how close the property is to Castellina in Chianti, which is worth a wander. There were cats around, and we could hear wildlife like deer, owls, and cuckoo birds. The peaceful nature around the place made the stay so lovely. We already want to come back soon.
