The town of Castello Cabiaglio is gorgeous, and everyone had a really nice time. For groceries, I’d recommend doing a big supermarket shop before you arrive. There are two very nice restaurants nearby, though, and a bakery selling basics like milk, cheese, bread, and juice. I booked several beautiful, clean, cozy suites for friends and close family while getting ready for my wedding. The weather was shocking, but the fireplaces kept things cozy. One evening at the spa was especially special. Valentina was so helpful, from refilling the coffee capsules to getting the heating set up. The accommodation got rave reviews from everyone. I’ll always have special memories of the place and hope to come back soon, hopefully with better weather!

We had a breathtaking mountain view from the big terrace at our apartment, no. 8. Inside, it was comfy and spotlessly clean, with a very well-equipped kitchen. The place has been renovated really well and sits in a quiet village. Our host was helpful and always in touch. Highly recommend :)

Our overall stay was terrible. The apartment was in the middle of a very quiet, tiny village, but there was no parking at the property, so we had to use public parking several hundred meters away. There was no minimarket, bakery, or cafe within a reasonable distance, which made breakfast difficult if you hadn’t brought food. There was no staff member on site, and the only way to reach the property manager was WhatsApp. We contacted the manager right away about the very low shower pressure, but it wasn’t fixed during our six-day stay. The sofa bed wasn’t really suitable for a child, and there was no soap or shower gel in the bathroom. When booking a family holiday, we look for a balance of price, location, and surroundings. It’s not always easy, but we can usually find a place for a comfortable stay of several days. We mainly want a good location, enough room, and comfortable beds; everything else is a bonus. Our apartment was listed as having those basics.

The room was huge, nicely decorated, and very clean. The woman who handed over the key was lovely, explained everything carefully, and pointed us to restaurants, supermarkets, and other places nearby. Castello Cabaglio is a charming, very old town, and the hotel has the same appeal. It’s a cozy place, and we’d gladly have stayed longer than our one night. That short stay did make the costs awkward, though: we had to pay cash because the owner doesn’t take cards for amounts under 100€, and the cleaning fee was almost half the total for just one night.

The digital concierge was really helpful, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. We had a lovely ground-floor apartment with access to the courtyard, and everything felt just right. A wonderful place to recharge and experience the real Italy. Thanks for a great few days!
