The terrace facing the garden was a favorite, especially for coffee with those Tuscan views. This quiet, well-equipped apartment is in the heart of Chianti, just outside Siena, and makes a great base for exploring. It was spotless, very comfortable, and great value for money. Recommend.

The apartment is modern, very well cared for, and has everything you need. From the balcony, the view over the valleys and vineyards is beautiful. Siena might be visible in the distance, though I’m not sure. One thing to know if you need a dark room to sleep: there are no curtains on the bedroom windows, and other houses are across from them. There are shutters, but some light still comes through. The owner said they would take note of it. It’s a good place to stay for visiting the Rapolano thermal baths, though it’s a little farther out than some other places that sometimes include breakfast. There’s private parking, and the instructions make arriving easy, with no need to rush. In town, Bar Centrale serves a great breakfast, and the little pizzas are good too.
