That shuttle into town was a real highlight. It made visiting the town and getting to the station much easier. Our room was basic and mostly clean, though black mold had appeared around the bathroom ceiling and the window by the end of our week there. We weren’t given clear information at check-in about where to eat or which facilities were closed for the season, so we only learned about the closures during the stay. The food was okay. Mine was warm, sometimes hot, but the others in our group often found theirs cold, and the food wasn’t kept well stocked during meal times. Maybe it’s better at the height of the season, but our trip could have gone better.
The free shuttle is useful, but check the timetable first. It doesn’t run at every time of day, and only the 9am and 10am buses stop at the train station. Miss those and you may need an Uber or taxi, which is pricey at around 15-20 euros for a trip under 10 minutes. It’s a simple, very clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was okay; I liked the dinner buffet more, with its good range of food. It worked well as a comfortable base for exploring, as long as you’re not expecting luxury.
The resort is large, so expect some noise and crowds, but we always found a table and never had to wait. Breakfast had plenty of choices, though the selection stayed the same and got a little repetitive over a week. The animation team were a lot of fun and clearly enjoyed themselves, but the program can get noisy if that’s not your thing. We stayed in the family apartment and had comfortable beds, a clean room, enough storage, and a working bathroom and kitchen. There were enough utensils and cookware to make full meals, but bring all the basics yourself, including dish soap, rags, salt, and oil. Towels were provided, but we only got two rolls of toilet paper and four small shower gel packets, so pack those too. With a car, the location is great for exploring the southern part of Garda. The pools were great. The two main ones got a bit crowded in the afternoons, though we always found a lounger. The other four pools take a bit of a walk to reach, but they’re a calmer option if the main pools, which are full of kids at any time of day, feel too busy.
The pools are the main draw here, with lots of options, slides for kids, and a pool bar. Families with children who love the water should be happy. The apartments are good, though the equipment is basic and the kitchen a bit dated. Breakfast was nice, too. A great place to stay near Lake Garda.
The grounds and location are nice, but our apartment was far below what we expected. We had no WiFi signal at all during our five-day stay, even though reception said it wasn’t guaranteed. In 2025, internet feels essential. There was no safe for our belongings, no electric kettle, and no soap or sponge for washing dishes, or even a way to dry them. To make coffee, we had to boil water on the electric gas. The shower also sent out bursts of boiling hot water that burned us. All in all, the apartment was extremely basic and had less than similar-standard rooms we stayed in on our trip.
