Casa Dell'Angelo

The location and staff deserve five stars, and everything inside was clean and comfortable. Just one small point: some of the kitchen utensils need replacing.

A great base for hiking or a relaxing getaway. There are lots of cycling and walking trails linking Vallecchia with Sarzana and the nearby towns. The location is excellent and the staff exceptional!

The terrace is right outside the door, and we ate all our meals there, looking out over the sea, olive groves, and mountains. In the evenings, it was so peaceful you could hear only crickets, and there were lots of lizards around. From the front door, you can head straight out into nature and get a glimpse of local agriculture. The village sits on a mountain, and the people there were friendly, welcoming, and open-minded. Inside, the apartment has a wonderful charm. I loved how the modern design works with the stone features, which are left visible and treated almost like artwork. The exposed bedroom beams were another highlight. Our host, Laura, also gave us invaluable tips that really helped. The drive up is a little adventurous because the road is narrow, but we got used to it. You need a car and should be able to walk reasonably well, as the place isn’t suited to people with mobility issues. The area is great for hiking. Our holiday here was fantastic, and I’d definitely return. Many thanks to Laura!

We spent a week there and really enjoyed it. The hostess put so much effort into our stay and gave us great suggestions for things to do, beaches, and more. The house is lovely, in a wonderfully quiet mountain village with a good restaurant.
