Hotel le Palme

The food and atmosphere were amazing. It’s the only restaurant in limone with gluten-free pasta and pizza dough, and there are a few little lemon trees in front of the lake.

We spent two nights here and had a great time, staying in a room facing the water. The hotel is right in the middle of Limone, so you don’t have to climb up or down a hill every time you go out. It’s also next to the marina, which is handy if you’re taking a ferry. The view is incredible, though that may be true of any hotel in town. Their restaurant may be the only one with live music at night. They advertise music every night, which isn’t true, but we really enjoyed it when it was on. We had a car and parked at Splendid Hotel up the hill; they brought us and our luggage to the hotel in a golf cart.

We ate at this lakeside restaurant twice during our week in beautiful Limone sul Garda. Good food, fair prices, and worth a visit.

The food is still as tasty as it’s always been, but after visiting this restaurant regularly for several years during our Lake Garda stays, we’re now hugely disappointed. The polite staff we remembered have been replaced by waiters who were rude and indifferent. In such an impressive setting, that’s unacceptable to us. The machine-dispensed Coca Cola was another letdown. For €4.50, they fill the glass with a mountain of ice. We’re paying for cola, not frozen water. It feels like a pathetic, shameful rip-off.
