Hotel Niblea

Matteo and the team make every stay a pleasure. They do everything they can to make the vacation great, and the rooms are spectacularly clean. After skiing, the relaxation room in the spa is just what you need. The wellness area is wonderful, and there’s a bar with all kinds of drinks plus a seemingly endless wine list. The cooking is phenomenal too. Don’t skip breakfast or the lovely dinner. Thanks to Matteo and everyone there, I’ll be glad to come back to Niblea again.

The shuttle was ready within minutes whenever we wanted to get to nearby sights or explore the area, which made getting around simple and stress-free. We chose half board and were delighted by it. Every meal was delicious, carefully prepared, and beautifully presented. Eating at the hotel was a highlight on its own. We also loved the pool area, where we could relax over drinks and food with the mountains all around. The whole place felt peaceful and welcoming, and the staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to help. Hotel Niblea’s rooms are beautiful and comfortable, with views of the Dolomites that made waking up each morning feel special. It was one of the best parts of our trip. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return.

On our last morning we needed to leave around 6 a.m., before breakfast. Linda kindly made sandwiches for the road and was so positive about it. Mauro, one of the waiters, was especially kind, and the receptionist was lovely too. Every staff member we met was polite, welcoming, and smiling. The pool became our favorite place to unwind each afternoon after long hikes in the Dolomites. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the whole hotel is kept very clean. Hotel Niblea exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it.

The restaurant staff seemed to get slower with me toward the end of our stay, and I wonder if tipping had something to do with it. They asked for a tip after every meal and again at the end of the stay. I didn’t tip, and felt the service change. Aside from that, Hotel Niblea worked well as a base for the Dolomites, with easy access to many great sites. The private shuttle is free and goes to downtown Ortsei, Alpe di Suisi, and Seceda. Staff were generally attentive and kind. Our Deluxe room was large, with a big balcony and unbeatable views. There’s no AC, so summer might get hot, though we were there in September and had no issue. Breakfast is a simple buffet and was good. Dinner was wonderful: the chef changes the menu every day and will find something you like if a dish doesn’t appeal. They remembered allergies and dislikes for future meals, and we looked forward to seeing the menu. The spa has a small infinity pool, a cool whirlpool, a steam room, and a sauna in the adults’ section. One family resort drawback was a child splashing and jumping in the pool and being really annoying while we were there, though that wasn’t the resort’s fault.
