A lovely, relaxed place with Wi-Fi and private parking right in front. You can sunbathe on the loungers or head out on hikes of different difficulty levels. Lots of trails begin on nearby roads and lead into all sorts of corners of the surrounding mountains.

There’s a children’s playground, and the apartment is surrounded by greenery on three sides. It’s bright and spacious, with dishes and utensils well provided, and one of the two terraces has breathtaking views. The road is the one downside, since it takes away some of the peace and quiet.

I was last here 30 years ago, with our three children, who are grown up now. We all felt so comfortable in the house even then. Our hosts, the Lanziner family, had children who played with ours. The house was already very clean, and its idyllic spot just outside Kastelruth is still the same. After all this time I’m going back for a few days, with my granddaughter, her mother, and her grandfather. I’ll write another review afterwards. Uli K.
