Il Giardino della Musica

The hosts, Cecilia and her sister Elisabeth, were so warm and welcoming. We were really glad to find this little gem, and I’d happily return if I get the chance. The B&B is out in beautiful countryside, about 15 minutes by car from central Cremona. Inside, it’s cosy and full of character: hand-knitted flower bouquets, wine bottle collections, musical instruments, old stoves and wooden beams, with authentic farmhouse touches. There’s also a library-like corner full of little objects that feels a bit like a museum. Our room was upstairs, spacious, bright and modern, with a private bathroom. It was tidy and clean, the bed was comfy, and I loved the drum kit bedside tables. Such a cool detail! There’s a garden with a small pool, and if you get up early, curious rabbits might keep you company at breakfast. Breakfast is simple but just right, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts, cheese, cereals and delicious fresh eggs served warm. Elisabeth’s homemade Peruvian Alfajores cookies are a real treat. You can have them at breakfast or buy some to take along as a lovely gift.
