I never write reviews, but I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms have very poor ventilation and were so humid that mold had formed on the bathroom walls. Soundproofing is the bigger problem. You can hear full conversations in the hallway and neighboring rooms, as though there's only a curtain between them. The hotel also holds private terrace events every weekend evening that carry on very late, until 2-3 AM. The music is so loud the room almost vibrates.

We were very disappointed. I'm not even convinced this is actually a hotel. It feels more like a few rooms in a small building with a rooftop bar and disco. Across five years of travel in Europe, the Parrasio was by far our worst hotel experience. Staff don't greet you when you enter, customer service is poor, and there's no security. There have been thefts at this property, where security is poor. We booked a standard 18 m² room and got a 12 m² one instead. Room 104 had a dirty shower, too much humidity from poor ventilation, a damp smell, bathroom fungus, a bathroom door that wouldn't close, a faulty sink, no air-conditioning remote, a blanket stained with blood, peeling paint everywhere, dirty pillows and no key for the safe. We couldn't book another hotel, so we had to sleep there the first night. The next day I showed them photos of the problems and asked to change rooms. The new room had plenty of problems too, but we stayed because we couldn't find another place. The manager promised three times to follow up on refunding our first night, but refused to issue it while we were staying there. Despite my many emails afterward, we never got the refund. We saw a blatant lack of respect and courtesy, little concern for our comfort or well-being, and a bad attitude from the staff. The manager always seemed in a bad mood, and the employees seemed afraid of her. Her job seemed limited to preparing rooftop parties for people who weren't staying at the hotel.

The first part of our stay was good, but the weekend was a letdown. If you want to sleep, don't stay here on weekends. The venue puts rooftop private parties ahead of hotel guests. I'd recommend weekdays, but on weekends it feels like a nightclub first and a hotel second.

The staff were wonderful, and breakfast was simple but tasty. The location is great for getting to nearby places, and the rooftop was open with a great view. No events or parties were held during our stay. We stayed in the smallest room, which was cute and enough for us. The shower and toilet area was very small, though other rooms seem to have bigger options. If you'll be out most of the time, need somewhere to crash and like micro hotels, it's a fantastic option. I'd stay again. Staff leave at 10pm, so you have to let yourself in if you're out for the night. There was no security on staff from 10 to 12pm, when nightlife dies down. That's the only reason I didn't give five stars. I'd also recommend the short walk up the hill to Fontana dell'acqua Paola.

A lovely little hotel with a boutique feel in the Trastevere neighbourhood. The staff were helpful and quick and efficient with their service. After checking out in the morning, we went for a walk around Rome and came back that afternoon to collect our car. They gave us a coffee on the house.
