Podere Spinabbio

Really nice.

We had a wonderful time here. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the pool is large and beautiful. The gardens and fields are kept in excellent shape too. This old farmhouse has been renovated recently and with good taste. It still has big, old fireplaces that work, along with new fixtures. Around it, wild trails cross the mountains, or high hills, and make for good mushroom and blackberry picking, birdwatching, or just enjoying the untouched forest. It’s a place for people who love nature. Bring enough food for several days, since the farm is several kilometers from the nearest shops along dirt and gravel roads. I’d book through their website to avoid possible agency fees.

Elisa was so kind and helpful while we stayed here with the whole family in the last week of August. The farmhouse is lovely, tucked into green surroundings, and everything was VERY CLEAN. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. A great choice for a big family.

Getting there means driving along a well-kept gravel road and then a dirt driveway, but the quiet makes it worthwhile. This renovated farmhouse sits among green hills, with rooms for rent that have fully equipped kitchens. There are also shared spaces, including the grounds, swimming pool, and barbecue.
