The property and pool are MAGNIFICENT, and the accommodation was spotless and well equipped. Luana gave us a lovely welcome, and the language barrier wasn’t a problem, even though she doesn’t speak English 😊. Breakfast was very good. It is quite remote, though you can still reach amenities and things to do in about 20-30 minutes by car, including restaurants, villages, and thermal baths.

We came away feeling at home rather than like we’d stayed in an ordinary hotel, and I’d recommend this charming place to anyone looking for that kind of stay. We spent three nights at this farmhouse in the greenery and couldn’t have chosen better. It’s well placed for exploring all of Val d'Orcia, about 20-25 minutes from both San Quirico and Montalcino, and 45 minutes from Radicofani. We stayed in the “Girasoli” room. It was lovely, with a view of the hills, a spacious bathroom, a comfortable, practical shower, and a comfortable bed. We slept really well. The cleanliness stood out from the moment we arrived: the room was spotless, with no odors or dust residue. Mrs. Luana was extremely kind and did everything she could to make our stay go smoothly. At 9:30 PM on our first evening we called to ask for bottles of water, and she brought them right away. Breakfast is homemade, with desserts that kept getting better, and the jams she makes are amazing. Try the quince one, it’s a delight. She’s also happy to suggest places to eat and visit in the nearby villages and towns, and her tips were invaluable. The pool was gorgeous too, though we only got to admire it because the weather wasn’t good for swimming.

Luana makes breakfast especially welcoming, always kind and ready to help, but never intrusive. You feel like you’re staying with friends at this true agriturismo in the Val d'Orcia countryside, halfway between Montalcino and Castiglione d'Orcia. The room is simple, comfortable, clean, and has a beautiful view across the valley. There’s plenty of space outside, a roomy pool, and real peace and quiet.
